Overview

AI-generated overview

PodPDF turns HTML, Markdown, URLs and saved templates into PDFs through the PodPDF API, letting an assistant generate PDF documents on request.

What you can do
Convert HTML, Markdown or a URL into a PDF using the PodPDF API. Render saved templates into PDF documents. Generate finished PDF files from content the assistant prepares, without leaving the conversation.
When to use it
Useful when you want an assistant to produce a PDF from a web page, a Markdown draft, raw HTML or one of your saved PodPDF templates, for example reports, invoices or shareable documents.
Requirements
Runs as a local process over stdio, installed from the npm package podpdf-mcp, so Node.js is needed. Requires a PodPDF account and an API key supplied in the PODPDF_API_KEY environment variable, obtained from the PodPDF app settings. Network access to the PodPDF API is needed.
Before you install
The server needs your PodPDF API key, which is a secret; keep it out of shared configuration. Content you submit, such as HTML, Markdown or URLs, is sent to the PodPDF API for rendering, so avoid confidential material unless that is acceptable. PDF generation may consume PodPDF account quota or credits.
