Overview
Local MCP server that gives an assistant METAR and TAF aviation weather reports sourced from the FAA and NWS, with no API key needed.

- Retrieve METAR current-weather reports for aviation stations
- Retrieve TAF terminal aerodrome forecasts
- Pull the data from FAA and NWS sources without an API key
- No individual tools are documented in the supplied listing, so exact parameters are unknown.
- When to use it
- Useful when you want an assistant to look up current or forecast aviation weather for airports or stations during flight planning, briefing or weather discussion.
- Requirements
- Runs as a local process over stdio, installed from the npm package @mrfentmen/aviation-weather-mcp, so Node.js and npm are needed. No authentication, environment variables or headers are declared. Network access is implied to reach FAA and NWS data.

Score
25% of the applicable checks met
How complete this listing is, computed from the registry entry, the endpoint and public sources. Not a rating of the server and not a statement that it is safe or working today: reachability is a dated check, and no installs or reviews go into the score.
- Reached in the last 30 days25 pts
Keep the endpoint answering the MCP handshake; SourceWeft probes it every 30 days.
- Auth declared10 pts
Declare the credential headers in the registry entry, or keep the endpoint answering the probe so its auth can be classified.

Answer tools/list without a credential, or ship a package that starts in a sandbox without one.
