Overview
Local MCP server that gives an assistant access to cryptocurrency rankings from the public CryptoRank API, with no API key required.
- What you can do
- Retrieve cryptocurrency rankings from the public CryptoRank API.
- No tool list is published, so the exact operations are not documented; expect read-only lookups of ranking data.
- Runs as a local stdio process started by the assistant.
- When to use it
- Useful when you want an assistant to pull crypto ranking information from CryptoRank during a conversation without setting up an API key or account.
- Requirements
- A local runtime able to run the npm package cryptorank-mcp over stdio (Node.js). Network access to the public CryptoRank API. No API key, environment variables or headers are declared.
Installation
In SourceWeft

How complete this listing is, computed from the registry entry, the endpoint and public sources. Not a rating of the server and not a statement that it is safe or working today: reachability is a dated check, and no installs or reviews go into the score.
- Reached in the last 30 days25 pts
Keep the endpoint answering the MCP handshake; SourceWeft probes it every 30 days.
- Auth declared10 pts
Declare the credential headers in the registry entry, or keep the endpoint answering the probe so its auth can be classified.

Answer tools/list without a credential, or ship a package that starts in a sandbox without one.
