Overview

AI-generated overview

Local MCP server that lets an assistant query the Etherscan v2 API for Ethereum balances, transactions and ERC-20 transfers.

What you can do
  • Look up ETH balance for an address
  • Retrieve transactions for an address
  • List ERC-20 token transfers
  • All queries go through the Etherscan v2 API
When to use it
Useful when you want an assistant to check Ethereum account activity, balances or token movements without leaving the chat, for example while investigating an address or reviewing wallet history.
Requirements
Runs as a local process over stdio, installed from the npm package @mrfentmen/etherscan-mcp, so Node.js is needed. The manifest declares no authentication, environment variables or headers, but the Etherscan v2 API normally requires an API key; check the package documentation for how it is supplied. Network access to Etherscan is required.
Before you install
Queries are sent to the third-party Etherscan service, so the addresses you look up are disclosed to it. No credentials are declared in the manifest, so confirm how any Etherscan API key is configured and keep it out of shared logs. The listed capabilities are read-only lookups.

How complete this listing is, computed from the registry entry, the endpoint and public sources. Not a rating of the server and not a statement that it is safe or working today: reachability is a dated check, and no installs or reviews go into the score.

  • Reached in the last 30 days25 pts

Keep the endpoint answering the MCP handshake; SourceWeft probes it every 30 days.

  • Auth declared10 pts

Declare the credential headers in the registry entry, or keep the endpoint answering the probe so its auth can be classified.

  • Tools listed15 pts

Answer tools/list without a credential, or ship a package that starts in a sandbox without one.
