The publisher's own server: Register.gy

Overview

AI-generated overview

Read-only MCP server that lets an assistant search the official Federal Register API for rules, notices, presidential documents and agencies.

What you can do
  • Search documents by term, document type, publication date range and page
  • Retrieve a single document by its document number
  • List the agencies represented by the API
When to use it
Useful when you need to look up US federal rules, proposed rules, notices or presidential documents, or check which agency published something, without leaving the assistant.
Requirements
Runs locally as a Node.js process installed from the npm package; no API key, account or environment variables are needed. Network access to the Federal Register API is required.
Before you install
Read-only and keyless, so it does not change data. Publication in the Federal Register is not legal advice or proof a rule is currently in force; verify the linked official document and effective dates before acting.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open Federal Register Mcp in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Desktop only via STDIO. STDIO servers start a local process, so they need the SourceWeft desktop host.

How complete this listing is, computed from the registry entry, the endpoint and public sources. Not a rating of the server and not a statement that it is safe or working today: reachability is a dated check, and no installs or reviews go into the score.

Keep the endpoint answering the MCP handshake; SourceWeft probes it every 30 days.

Declare the credential headers in the registry entry, or keep the endpoint answering the probe so its auth can be classified.
