Use this MCP server to hiddenpalace.org, unreleased game prototypes, beta content, and cut...
Overview
Read-only MCP server for hiddenpalace.org, letting an assistant search and read wiki pages about unreleased game prototypes, beta builds and cut content.
- What you can do
- Search hiddenpalace.org wiki pages for prototype and beta documentation
- Read a page's content as readable text, with wikitext flattened
- When to use it
- Useful when researching unreleased games, prototype builds, beta versions or cut content and you want the assistant to pull details straight from the Video Game History Foundation wiki instead of general web search.
- Requirements
- Runs as a local process over stdio from the npm package hiddenpalace-mcp; Node.js is needed to build and run it. No account, API key or environment variable is required, but network access to hiddenpalace.org and its MediaWiki API is needed.
Installation
In SourceWeft
- Open Hiddenpalace Mcp in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
- Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.
Desktop only via STDIO. STDIO servers start a local process, so they need the SourceWeft desktop host.
Other MCP clients
Follow the launch instructions in the repository.

How complete this listing is, computed from the registry entry, the endpoint and public sources. Not a rating of the server and not a statement that it is safe or working today: reachability is a dated check, and no installs or reviews go into the score.

Declare the credential headers in the registry entry, or keep the endpoint answering the probe so its auth can be classified.
