Query Listen Notes: podcast search, best lists, episode details.
The publisher's own server: Podcast Search by Listen Notes
Overview
Local MCP server that lets an assistant query Listen Notes for podcast search, curated best lists, and episode details.
- What you can do
- Search podcasts on Listen Notes by keyword
- Retrieve curated best-podcast lists
- Look up episode details
- Runs as a local stdio process started by the assistant
- When to use it
- Useful when you want an assistant to find podcasts, browse curated podcast rankings, or pull details about specific episodes while working on research, recommendations, or media content.
- Requirements
- Runs as a local process over stdio, installed from the npm package listennotes-mcp, so Node.js and npm are needed. The manifest declares no authentication, environment variables, or headers, but Listen Notes is a third-party API that normally requires an API key; expect to supply one during setup. Network access to Listen Notes is required.
Installation
In SourceWeft
- Open Listennotes Mcp in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
- Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Score
25% of the applicable checks met
How complete this listing is, computed from the registry entry, the endpoint and public sources. Not a rating of the server and not a statement that it is safe or working today: reachability is a dated check, and no installs or reviews go into the score.

Keep the endpoint answering the MCP handshake; SourceWeft probes it every 30 days.
- Auth declared10 pts
Declare the credential headers in the registry entry, or keep the endpoint answering the probe so its auth can be classified.

Answer tools/list without a credential, or ship a package that starts in a sandbox without one.
