Overview

AI-generated overview

Local MCP server that lets an assistant look up song lyrics by artist and title from a public lyrics service, with no API key.

What you can do
  • Look up song lyrics by artist and title from a public lyrics service.
  • No tool list is published, so the exact commands are not documented; the server is described only as a lyrics lookup by artist and title.
  • Runs as a local stdio process on the user's machine.
When to use it
Useful when you want an assistant to fetch lyrics for a specific song while working on music-related writing, playlists, or research, and you prefer a local server with no signup.
Requirements
Node.js and the npm package lyrics-mcp, run as a local stdio process. No API key, environment variables, or headers are declared. Network access is needed to reach the public lyrics service. Desktop only; not available as a web executable.
Before you install
Requests go to a third-party public lyrics service, so the artist and title you ask about are sent outside your machine. Lyrics are copyrighted material, so check how results may be reused. No tool list is published, so review what the server exposes before relying on it.

How complete this listing is, computed from the registry entry, the endpoint and public sources. Not a rating of the server and not a statement that it is safe or working today: reachability is a dated check, and no installs or reviews go into the score.

Keep the endpoint answering the MCP handshake; SourceWeft probes it every 30 days.

Declare the credential headers in the registry entry, or keep the endpoint answering the probe so its auth can be classified.
