io.github.mrfentmenPublished by GitHub account mrfentmenv1.0.0Updated Oct 24, 2026
MIDI note math: note names, frequencies, and note numbers. No network and no key.
Overview
Lets an assistant convert between MIDI note names, note numbers, and frequencies for music and audio work.
- What you can do
- Provides MIDI note math utilities: converting note names to note numbers, note numbers to names, and computing frequencies for notes. It is a small local helper for musical pitch calculations rather than a full music production tool.
- When to use it
- Useful when working with MIDI data, tuning, or audio code and you need quick, reliable note name, number, and frequency conversions without doing the math by hand.
- Requirements
- Runs as a local process over stdio, installed from the npm package midi-tools-mcp, so Node.js and npm are needed. No authentication, environment variables, headers, or network access are declared.
Installation
In SourceWeft

Score
25% of the applicable checks met
How complete this listing is, computed from the registry entry, the endpoint and public sources. Not a rating of the server and not a statement that it is safe or working today: reachability is a dated check, and no installs or reviews go into the score.
- Reached in the last 30 days25 pts
Keep the endpoint answering the MCP handshake; SourceWeft probes it every 30 days.
- Auth declared10 pts
Declare the credential headers in the registry entry, or keep the endpoint answering the probe so its auth can be classified.
- Tools listed15 pts
Answer tools/list without a credential, or ship a package that starts in a sandbox without one.
