Overview

AI-generated overview

A local MCP server that lets an assistant search Stremio, play titles on Android TV over ADB, and control the device.

What you can do
Search Stremio and TMDB for titles to play or add to the library, using the TMDB API key for title search and the Stremio account token for library reads and writes. Start playback of a chosen title on an Android TV device reached over native ADB. Control the connected Android TV device, such as playback and device commands, through the configured ADB host and port.
When to use it
Useful when you want an assistant to find something to watch and start it on an Android TV running Stremio, or to drive that TV's playback and device controls, without switching apps by hand.
Requirements
Runs locally as a Python package launched with uvx on a desktop machine. Needs a native ADB executable (ADB_PATH), the Android TV's IP address and ADB port (ANDROID_TV_HOST, ANDROID_TV_PORT), a Stremio account token (STREMIO_AUTH_KEY) and a TMDB API key (TMDB_API_KEY). Network access to the TV and to Stremio and TMDB.
Before you install
Requires two secrets: the Stremio account token (STREMIO_AUTH_KEY), which grants library reads and writes, and the TMDB API key (TMDB_API_KEY). It can change your Stremio library and send commands to the Android TV over ADB, so misdirected actions affect the real device and account. The TV must be reachable on your network.

Score

25% of the applicable checks met

How complete this listing is, computed from the registry entry, the endpoint and public sources. Not a rating of the server and not a statement that it is safe or working today: reachability is a dated check, and no installs or reviews go into the score.

  • Reached in the last 30 days25 pts

Keep the endpoint answering the MCP handshake; SourceWeft probes it every 30 days.

  • Auth declared10 pts

Declare the credential headers in the registry entry, or keep the endpoint answering the probe so its auth can be classified.

Answer tools/list without a credential, or ship a package that starts in a sandbox without one.
