Validate Ethereum addresses, keys, checksums, keccak256 hashes, function selectors, ENS
Overview
Local MCP server that lets an assistant validate Ethereum addresses, private keys, signatures and hex data, and compute checksums, keccak256 hashes and…
- What you can do
- Validate Ethereum addresses with EIP-55 checksum checks, compare addresses and batch-validate lists
- Validate private keys, ECDSA signature components and arbitrary hex data
- Convert addresses to checksummed form and derive addresses from private or public keys
- Compute keccak256 hashes and encode or decode 4-byte function selectors
- Check vanity address criteria, validate ENS name format offline and calculate contract storage slots
- Read bundled reference resources such as the EIP-55 spec, secp256k1 constants and a selector database
- When to use it
- Useful when working on Ethereum tooling, smart contract interaction or wallet-related tasks where an assistant needs to check address formats, checksums, selectors or key-derived addresses before acting on them.
- Requirements
- Runs locally over stdio as a Python package (validation-mcp-server) installed with pip or run via uvx; no authentication, environment variables or headers are declared. Desktop client configuration is required.
Installation
In SourceWeft
- Open Ethereum Address Validator in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
- Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.
Desktop only via STDIO. STDIO servers start a local process, so they need the SourceWeft desktop host.
Other MCP clients
Follow the launch instructions in the repository.
README
Validation MCP Server

Score
40% of the applicable checks met
How complete this listing is, computed from the registry entry, the endpoint and public sources. Not a rating of the server and not a statement that it is safe or working today: reachability is a dated check, and no installs or reviews go into the score.
- Reached in the last 30 days25 pts
Keep the endpoint answering the MCP handshake; SourceWeft probes it every 30 days.
- Auth declared10 pts
Declare the credential headers in the registry entry, or keep the endpoint answering the probe so its auth can be classified.
- Tools listed15 pts
Answer tools/list without a credential, or ship a package that starts in a sandbox without one.
