Overview

AI-generated overview

Offline MCP server giving an assistant access to the Quran, major hadith collections and prayer times, run locally over stdio.

What you can do
  • Look up Quran content, including verses and surahs, from a bundled local dataset.
  • Browse and retrieve passages from major hadith collections.
  • Get prayer times.
  • All of this works without a network connection, since the data ships with the server.
When to use it
Useful when you want an assistant to answer questions about Quran text, hadith collections or prayer times, and prefer that the data stays on your machine rather than being fetched from an online service.
Requirements
A local Python runtime; the package is published on PyPI as quran-mcp and is run with uvx over stdio. No authentication, environment variables or headers are declared. Desktop client only.
Before you install
No credentials or secrets are requested. The manifest lists no tools, so the exact operations and whether any of them write data are not documented here; review the package before installing. Religious texts and prayer-time calculations should be verified against authoritative sources.

Installation

  1. Open Quran & Hadith in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Desktop only via STDIO. STDIO servers start a local process, so they need the SourceWeft desktop host.

Score

25% of the applicable checks met

How complete this listing is, computed from the registry entry, the endpoint and public sources. Not a rating of the server and not a statement that it is safe or working today: reachability is a dated check, and no installs or reviews go into the score.

  • Reached in the last 30 days25 pts

Keep the endpoint answering the MCP handshake; SourceWeft probes it every 30 days.

  • Auth declared10 pts

Declare the credential headers in the registry entry, or keep the endpoint answering the probe so its auth can be classified.

  • Tools listed15 pts

Answer tools/list without a credential, or ship a package that starts in a sandbox without one.
