12 image models (Nano Banana, GPT Image, FLUX…) and 10 tools in chat. No API keys. Pay per image.
Overview
A hosted MCP server that lets an assistant generate and edit images in chat using 12 image models, with prepaid pay-per-image billing.
- What you can do
- Generate and edit images from text prompts with a chosen model, using reference images and multiple options per call, and list the model catalog with prices and strengths. Remove backgrounds, upscale 2x or 4x, and convert images to SVG vectors. Animate an image into a short video with sound and check on the video's progress. Show existing images from the account inline and upload local images as references.
- When to use it
- Useful when you want image creation, editing, background removal, upscaling, vectorizing or image-to-video inside Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, Codex or another MCP client without holding separate provider API keys.
- Requirements
- A remote Streamable HTTP endpoint with OAuth 2.1 sign-in through a Tastepix account (Google or email). No API keys or environment variables. A prepaid balance is needed for paid generations; new accounts get a small free credit.
Installation
In SourceWeft
- Open Tastepix in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
- Connect the required credentials. They are stored privately and never shown on public pages.
- Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.
Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.
Use with an agent
Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.
Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/io.github.paablobello%2Ftastepix/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.Other MCP clients
Add this to your client's mcpServers config. The client completes OAuth sign-in on first connect.

[Claude using Tastepix to make a vintage travel poster, shown inline in the chat]
What it is
Tastepix is a remote MCP server (Model Context Protocol). Connect it once to your AI app, then ask for images in plain language: "make a vintage travel poster for a seaside town", "remove the background", "upscale it 4×", "animate this". The assistant picks the model, the image appears inline in the chat with download, reference and edit actions, and everything you make lands in one gallery at tastepix.com.
- No API keys. Sign in with Google or email; Tastepix handles the providers.
- Many models, one account. Ask for a model by name or let the assistant choose.
- Works where you already work. Claude (web, desktop, mobile), ChatGPT, Claude Code, Cursor, Codex.
- Pay per image. Prepaid balance, no subscription, balance never expires, failed generations are refunded automatically. New accounts get a small free credit.
Server URL
Transport: Streamable HTTP. Auth: OAuth 2.1 (the app opens a Tastepix sign-in page the first time).
Connect
Client menus change often. The always-current steps for each app are in your dashboard under Connect an app. Setting it up with a coding agent? Point it at llms-install.md.

Examples
Just ask in your chat:
- "Make a hero image for my landing page: a calm meadow at dawn, wide 16:9."
- "Use Nano Banana Pro to make an infographic of these numbers."
- "Remove the background from the product photo I just uploaded."
- "Make a logo for 'Solmar' as an SVG with Recraft Vector."
- "Upscale that last image 4× and then animate it, slow camera push-in."
- In Claude Code or Cursor: "Generate an OG image for this site and save it to
public/og.png."
FAQ
Do I need API keys from OpenAI, Google, etc.? No. One Tastepix account covers every model.
Can Claude generate images on its own? Claude doesn't generate images natively; Tastepix adds that through MCP, inline in the chat.
Is there a subscription? No. You add funds when you want and pay per image. New accounts get a small free credit to try it.
What happens if a generation fails? It's refunded to your balance automatically.
Where do my images go? They're shown in the chat and saved to your private gallery at tastepix.com, from every app you use. You can delete them, or your whole account, from the dashboard.

This repository holds the public documentation and registry metadata for the hosted Tastepix MCP
server (server.json for the Official MCP Registry), plus
the plugin and extension manifests for Claude Code, Cursor, Codex and Gemini CLI and the tastepix
skill. They contain only configuration and Markdown: no scripts, hooks or code run on install.
The server itself is a hosted service; its source is not published here.
