Build platform-ready carousels from an outline.
The publisher's own server: agentic.no
Overview
A local MCP server that builds social-media carousel decks from an outline, validating and rendering them as JSON or self-contained HTML.
- What you can do
- Create carousel decks from newline-, pipe-separated or title/body outlines, with a generated hook and call-to-action slide plus required disclosure text on the final slide. Validate decks against Instagram, LinkedIn or TikTok text presets. Render decks as self-contained HTML with inline CSS and escaped text. List the expected JSON, HTML and PNG filenames as an export plan without writing files. Report cost units, which carousel operations do not record.
- When to use it
- Useful when you want an assistant to draft, check and preview short social carousel content locally, for example turning a rough outline into a slide deck and an HTML preview before manual posting.
- Requirements
- Runs as a local process via npx from the npm package agentic-carousel; requires Node.js 18 or later. No credentials, model calls or network requests are needed.
Installation
In SourceWeft
- Open Agentic Carousel in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
- Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.
Desktop only via STDIO. STDIO servers start a local process, so they need the SourceWeft desktop host.
Other MCP clients
Follow the launch instructions in the repository.
README
agentic-carousel
[npm version] [Monthly downloads] [License: MIT]
agentic-carousel is an open-source carousel deck generator for Node.js applications and AI agents, with JSON output, printable HTML, and social-platform text presets.
Install
Requires Node.js 18 or later. Includes TypeScript declarations and two direct runtime dependencies.
Create your first deck
Save this example as carousel.mjs, then run node carousel.mjs.
Expect 4 true. Open carousel.html in a browser to see four 1080 × 1350 slides.
No credentials, model calls, or network requests are required.
Features and coverage
- Accept newline-separated or pipe-separated outlines, or arrays of title/body objects.
- Add a hook and a call-to-action slide around the supplied content.
- Require disclosure text on the final slide; SDK options can customize it.
- Render escaped text into self-contained HTML with inline CSS.
- List expected JSON, HTML, and PNG filenames with
exportPlan; it writes no files.
The code defines three presets. These are package rules, without live platform verification or publishing integrations.
Runtime surfaces
The CLI has five operational commands, plus --help and --version. The carousel prefix is optional.
Create accepts --platform instagram|linkedin|tiktok and prints { deck, plan }; it does not save either object.
The Model Context Protocol (MCP) server exposes five tools: create_carousel, validate_carousel, render_carousel_html, export_carousel_plan, and get_cost_report.
The agentic-carousel-mcp binary starts the same server.
The Worker you deploy has GET /health, POST /create, and POST /validate; create uses the default Instagram preset.
Behavior limits
Decks contain 2–10 slides, including the generated hook and final slide; outlines can contain at most eight content slides.
All presets use the same HTML size. Text presets do not guarantee platform acceptance or visual fit.
The package creates no PNG files or PDF files and does not upload or publish slides.
The CLI accepts --live, but generation stays local. There is no remote generation mode.
Carousel operations do not record cost units. The shared SDK also exports generic text summary and routing helpers.

How complete this listing is, computed from the registry entry, the endpoint and public sources. Not a rating of the server and not a statement that it is safe or working today: reachability is a dated check, and no installs or reviews go into the score.

Keep the endpoint answering the MCP handshake; SourceWeft probes it every 30 days.
