Overview

AI-generated overview

Searches the Vadivam 24px icon set and returns SVG or framework component code for use in UI work.

What you can do
  • Search icons by name, synonym tag or category, with ranked results and an optional category filter
  • Suggest candidate icons for each element named in a short UI description
  • Fetch a single icon as SVG, JSX, a framework snippet, data URI, CSS mask, Tailwind class, CDN URL, sprite, font, Iconify id or shadcn command, in outline or solid style
  • List all icon categories with id, title, description and icon count
  • Get install commands, import examples and docs links for a framework package or the core package
When to use it
Useful when an assistant is writing or editing a web or app interface and needs real icon names and ready-to-paste code instead of guessing icon identifiers. Also handy for picking a consistent set of icons for a whole screen from a description.
Requirements
Either the hosted remote endpoint over streamable HTTP, or a local process run with npx from the vadivam-mcp npm package over stdio, which needs Node.js. The local package bundles the icon data and works offline. No account, API key or environment variable is declared.
Before you install
Read-only lookup: it returns icon data and code snippets and does not modify anything. The hosted endpoint sends your search terms and UI descriptions to a third-party server; the local package avoids that. Generated snippets should be reviewed before use, and icons should be labelled or hidden for accessibility as the server advises.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open Vadivam Icons in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.

Use with an agent

Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.

Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/io.github.praveenjuge%2Fvadivam/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.

Read the install guide the agent follows

Other MCP clients

README

vadivam-mcp

An MCP server for searching 24px outline and solid icons and getting SVG or framework code. AI agents use it to find the right Vadivam icon by name, synonym, or category instead of guessing names.

Browse icons · MCP docs · Source · GitHub

[npm version] [downloads] [license]

Use the hosted server, with nothing to install:

sh
claude mcp add --transport http vadivam https://vadivam.praveenjuge.com/mcp

Or run it locally over stdio. The icon data ships inside the package, so it works offline and matches this release:

sh
claude mcp add vadivam -- npx -y vadivam-mcp
json
{  "mcpServers": {    "vadivam": { "command": "npx", "args": ["-y", "vadivam-mcp"] }  }}
ToolWhat it does
search_iconsRanked search over names, tags, and categories, with an optional category filter
suggest_iconsCandidate icons for each thing a UI description mentions
get_iconOne icon as SVG, JSX, a framework snippet, data URI, CSS mask, Tailwind class, CDN URL, sprite, font, or shadcn
list_categoriesEvery category with its id, title, description, and icon count
get_usageInstall command, import example, and docs link for a framework package

To host it yourself, createVadivamServer() returns a fresh McpServer and createVadivamHttpHandler() wraps it in a stateless Streamable HTTP handler for Cloudflare Workers, Deno, or Bun:

js
import { createVadivamHttpHandler } from "vadivam-mcp";
export default createVadivamHttpHandler();

How complete this listing is, computed from the registry entry, the endpoint and public sources. Not a rating of the server and not a statement that it is safe or working today: reachability is a dated check, and no installs or reviews go into the score.
