An MCP server that provides [describe what your server does]
Overview
A local MCP server that lets an AI assistant save bookmarks with titles and descriptions and search them semantically using OpenAI.
- What you can do
- Save bookmarks by URL with an optional title and description, stored with metadata for later retrieval. Search saved bookmarks by natural-language query, matching across titles and descriptions with semantic search. Use OpenAI to power categorization and search enhancement over the bookmark collection.
- When to use it
- Useful when you want an assistant to capture links you come across and later find them by meaning rather than exact keywords, for example collecting tutorials or development tools across a session.
- Requirements
- Runs locally as a Python package (Python 3.11+), typically launched through uvx. Needs an OpenAI API key supplied as the OPENAI_API_KEY environment variable, and an internet connection. The manifest declares a required secret named YOUR_API_KEY.
Installation
In SourceWeft
- Open Mcp Bookmark in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
- Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.
Desktop only via STDIO. STDIO servers start a local process, so they need the SourceWeft desktop host.
Other MCP clients
Follow the launch instructions in the repository.

How complete this listing is, computed from the registry entry, the endpoint and public sources. Not a rating of the server and not a statement that it is safe or working today: reachability is a dated check, and no installs or reviews go into the score.
- Reached in the last 30 days25 pts
Keep the endpoint answering the MCP handshake; SourceWeft probes it every 30 days.
- Auth declared10 pts
Declare the credential headers in the registry entry, or keep the endpoint answering the probe so its auth can be classified.

Answer tools/list without a credential, or ship a package that starts in a sandbox without one.
