Overview

AI-generated overview

Lets an assistant plan, write, and publish SEO articles to your own CMS and track Google and AI search visibility.

What it does
RankControl runs a workspace of AI agents that plan, write, and publish citation-optimized articles as native posts on your own CMS, including WordPress, Webflow, Shopify, Ghost, Notion, Wix, Framer, and headless setups. It also monitors citations and rankings, refreshes pages that slip, drafts link outreach for approval, and produces AI visibility and traffic reports. It is offered as a Claude Code plugin and agent skill, and as an MCP server over a remote endpoint or local stdio.
When to use it
Use it when you want an assistant to run ongoing SEO content work on your own site rather than just suggest copy: planning and publishing articles, tracking Google and AI search traffic, and maintaining pages over time. It suits teams already using a supported CMS and willing to review agent output before it goes public.
Requirements
The remote connector runs at the provider's endpoint and uses OAuth; a local stdio option runs through an npm package, so Node.js is needed for that path. A RankControl account and a connected CMS are implied by the publishing workflow. No environment variables or headers are declared in the manifest.
Before you install
The server can publish content and send outreach that is publicly visible, and it connects to your CMS, so it can write to your live site. Publishing and outreach are described as dry-run by default and requiring an explicit confirm flag, with approval gates run server-side, but you should verify those gates before relying on them. The remote option authenticates with OAuth, so review the scopes granted.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open RankControl in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.

Other MCP clients

Add this to your client's mcpServers config.

    "rankcontrol": {

README

RankControl

RankControl wins Google rankings and AI citations for your site: seven AI agents plan, write, and publish citation-optimized articles as native posts on your own CMS (WordPress, Webflow, Shopify, Ghost, Notion, Wix, Framer, and headless). They watch citations and rankings, refresh pages that slip, and draft link outreach for your approval.

This repo is the RankControl Claude Code plugin and agent skill. It teaches Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, and any skills-compatible agent how to run a RankControl workspace from the command line: AI visibility, content planning and publishing, backlinks, repurposing, and reports.

Claude Code, as a plugin:

bash
/plugin marketplace add rankcontrol/rankcontrol/plugin install rankcontrol@rankcontrol

Any skills-compatible agent:

bash
npx skills add rankcontrol/rankcontrol

Prefer MCP tools? Local stdio via the same npm package, or the remote connector with OAuth:

bash
claude mcp add rankcontrol -- npx rankcontrol mcpclaude mcp add --transport http rankcontrol https://api.rctrl.com/mcp

Safety: publishing, outreach, and other publicly visible actions are dry-run by default and require --confirm. Approval gates run server-side.
