Web toolkit for AI agents: read any URL as Markdown, screenshot, extract data, or crawl a site.

Overview

AI-generated overview

A local MCP server that gives an assistant a web toolkit: read any URL as Markdown, take screenshots, extract data, or crawl a site.

What you can do
Read a URL and return its content as Markdown for the assistant to work with. Capture screenshots of web pages. Extract structured data from pages. Crawl a site to collect content across multiple pages.
When to use it
Useful when an assistant needs to pull web page content into a conversation, capture a page visually, scrape structured data, or gather content from several pages of a site.
Requirements
Runs as a local process via the npm package rasterly-mcp (Node.js). Requires a rasterly API key supplied in the RASTERLY_API_KEY environment variable, sent as the X-Api-Key header. The RASTERLY_API_URL variable can point at a self-hosted instance. Network access to the rasterly service is needed.
Before you install
The API key in RASTERLY_API_KEY is a secret sent to the rasterly service; keep it out of shared configs. URLs and crawl targets you submit are processed by that third-party service, so avoid sending private or internal addresses. Crawling can generate many requests against target sites.

  2. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Desktop only via STDIO. STDIO servers start a local process, so they need the SourceWeft desktop host.

Score

25% of the applicable checks met

How complete this listing is, computed from the registry entry, the endpoint and public sources. Not a rating of the server and not a statement that it is safe or working today: reachability is a dated check, and no installs or reviews go into the score.

  • Reached in the last 30 days25 pts

Keep the endpoint answering the MCP handshake; SourceWeft probes it every 30 days.

  • Auth declared10 pts

Declare the credential headers in the registry entry, or keep the endpoint answering the probe so its auth can be classified.

  • Tools listed15 pts

Answer tools/list without a credential, or ship a package that starts in a sandbox without one.
