Apple Health AI Bridge

Read-only local MCP access to Apple Health data through Apple Health AI Bridge.
Overview
Read-only local MCP access to Apple Health data, letting an assistant query synced sleep, workouts, activity and body measurements.
- What you can do
- Query synced Apple Health records from a local receiver, covering sleep, workouts, steps and energy, heart-rate measurements, weight and body composition.
- Ask questions that combine several record types, such as reviewing last week's sleep and workouts.
- Keep a growing local history through automatic sync from the paired iPhone, without repeated exports.
- Work from any MCP-compatible assistant or your own agent workflows, since data is not tied to one AI provider.
- When to use it
- Useful when you want an assistant to reason over your own Apple Health history — sleep, training load, activity and body metrics — while the records stay on your computer. It suits personal health reviews and planning questions rather than clinical or diagnostic use.
- Requirements
- An iPhone on iOS 18 or later with the companion app, a macOS or Linux computer that stays awake to run the Receiver/CLI, and an MCP-compatible assistant. Setup involves installing the receiver, optionally exposing a private HTTPS route for sync away from home, and pairing the iPhone by QR code with Apple Health permissions enabled.
Installation
In SourceWeft
- Open Apple Health AI Bridge in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
- Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.
Desktop only via STDIO. STDIO servers start a local process, so they need the SourceWeft desktop host.
Other MCP clients
Follow the launch instructions in the repository.

Quickstart · Documentation · Examples · Website · Discord
Apple Health AI Bridge connects Apple Health to MCP-compatible assistants. The iPhone app syncs the records you allow to your own computer, where your AI can query sleep, workouts, activity, and more.
Before we plan next week, what did my sleep and workouts actually look like?
Automatic sync brings new records into the same local history, without another export. Use it in the assistant you prefer or in your own agent workflows; your data isn't tied to a single AI provider.
Get started
You'll need an iPhone running iOS 18 or later, a macOS or Linux computer that can stay awake to receive records, and an AI assistant.
- Install the app. Download the iPhone app from the App Store. Use iOS Companion 1.2.0 (build 51) with the Receiver below.
- Set up the receiver. Install the published Receiver/CLI 1.2.0 using the setup guide, including a private HTTPS route for sync away from home.
- Pair your iPhone. Scan the pairing QR, review Apple's Health permissions, and enable Automatic Sync.
- Connect your AI. Choose your client, then ask your first question.
These versions use Batch Protocol health_bridge.batch.v1 (1.0.0). Already using the bridge? Follow the upgrade steps to keep your database and pairing. For the optional Mac-only iCloud Mailbox Beta, use the helper verification and installation guide, including its separate helper-replacement steps.

Supported data
Sleep, workouts, steps and energy, heart-rate measurements, weight, and body composition are supported. The full data catalog lists individual record types and their availability.
Privacy
Health access and MCP queries are read-only. The receiver stores your records on your computer, and you decide which clients can query them.
When you use a cloud model, the query results your client sends go to that model provider. Its privacy settings and policies apply.

50% of the applicable checks met
How complete this listing is, computed from the registry entry, the endpoint and public sources. Not a rating of the server and not a statement that it is safe or working today: reachability is a dated check, and no installs or reviews go into the score.

Keep the endpoint answering the MCP handshake; SourceWeft probes it every 30 days.

Declare the credential headers in the registry entry, or keep the endpoint answering the probe so its auth can be classified.
