Requirements

Local setups need Yandex Cloud credentials YANDEX_SEARCH_API_KEY and YANDEX_FOLDER_ID for Search and Wordstat, and OAuth tokens YANDEX_WEBMASTER_TOKEN, YANDEX_METRIKA_TOKEN and YANDEX_DIRECT_TOKEN for the other services.
Before you install
Requires Yandex Cloud API keys and OAuth tokens with access to your search, webmaster, analytics and advertising accounts; keep them out of shared configs. The Direct server can change campaigns, ads, keywords and bids, and defaults to a sandbox unless YANDEX_DIRECT_LIVE=1 is set, which points it at the real account and can spend money. Queries and account data go to Yandex and, for hosted versions, to the provider's endpoint.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open Yandex Tools MCP in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Connect the required credentials. They are stored privately and never shown on public pages.
  3. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.

Run bun install before starting Claude Code in this repo. The local .mcp.json runs each server from source with node, so without installed dependencies every server crashes on startup (Cannot find package '@modelcontextprotocol/sdk') and Claude Code reports it as CONNECTION_CLOSED. Bun installs each package's dependencies into its own packages/*/node_modules. The plugin setup above uses npx and doesn't need this step.

Run all tests (each package with a test script):
