Build CSS linear and radial gradient values
Overview
A local MCP server that lets an assistant generate CSS linear, radial and conic gradients, including random ones, for use in stylesheets.
- What you can do
- Generate a CSS gradient from chosen colors and a gradient type such as linear or radial, returning a ready-to-use CSS value. Produce a random gradient when you want a starting point or inspiration. The README also mentions conic gradients and a frontend-oriented focus, so it is aimed at styling work rather than image files.
- When to use it
- Useful when you are writing or tweaking CSS and want the assistant to produce gradient values directly in the editor, or when you need a quick random gradient to start a design from.
- Requirements
- Runs as a local process over stdio, typically launched with npx from the npm package gradient-forge-mcp; Node.js is needed. No accounts, API keys, environment variables or headers are declared.
Installation
In SourceWeft
- Open Gradient Forge Mcp in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
- Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.
Desktop only via STDIO. STDIO servers start a local process, so they need the SourceWeft desktop host.
Other MCP clients
Follow the launch instructions in the repository.

How complete this listing is, computed from the registry entry, the endpoint and public sources. Not a rating of the server and not a statement that it is safe or working today: reachability is a dated check, and no installs or reviews go into the score.

Keep the endpoint answering the MCP handshake; SourceWeft probes it every 30 days.
- Auth declared10 pts
Declare the credential headers in the registry entry, or keep the endpoint answering the probe so its auth can be classified.

Answer tools/list without a credential, or ship a package that starts in a sandbox without one.
