Build websites that look designed, not generated. Fudge gives AI real websites to study.
Overview
Fudge is a hosted MCP server that gives AI assistants a searchable library of real website design references to study while building interfaces.
- What you can do
- Search captured websites by style, page type, component, color or typography, and inspect their fonts, colors, spacing, layout and design tokens. Compare several references to choose a design direction. Find fonts with similar visual character and see where captured fonts are used. Review a page against relevant examples from the library. Apply captured design evidence while writing or improving interface code.
- When to use it
- Useful when an assistant is designing or critiquing a website and needs concrete, real-world references for typography, color, spacing or layout instead of generic suggestions. Also handy for comparing design directions or finding similar fonts before committing.
- Requirements
- A remote MCP endpoint over streamable HTTP; no local package or runtime. OAuth sign-in at the Fudge site with browser approval on first connection; no API key or local credential file. A Fudge account, with account and plan limits applying.
Installation
In SourceWeft
- Open Fudge in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
- Connect the required credentials. They are stored privately and never shown on public pages.
- Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.
Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.
Use with an agent
Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.
Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/io.github.scroobius-pip%2Ffudge/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.Other MCP clients
Add this to your client's mcpServers config. The client completes OAuth sign-in on first connect.

Fudge Plugin for Grok Build
Fudge gives AI coding tools website references they can search and inspect while building. It captures the details behind each website, including typography, colors, layout, components, spacing, borders, shadows, gradients, media, and page context.
This plugin connects Grok Build to Fudge's hosted MCP server and includes guidance for using captured website evidence in design research, critique, and implementation.
Installation
In Grok Build, open /plugin, search for Fudge, and install the plugin.
On first connection, Grok opens Fudge's authorization flow in the browser. Sign in at design.withfudge.com and approve access. No API key or local credential file is required.
What you can ask
- Find website references by style, page type, component, color, or typography.
- Inspect how a captured website uses fonts, colors, spacing, layout, and design tokens.
- Compare several references before choosing a design direction.
- Find fonts with a similar visual character and inspect where captured fonts are used.
- Review a website with relevant examples from the Fudge library.
- Use captured design evidence while writing or improving interface code.

Other MCP clients can use the checked-in .mcp.json configuration.
Authentication and security
The plugin connects to Fudge's hosted MCP endpoint at https://api.withfudge.com/mcp. Authentication is handled through OAuth. Account and plan limits apply.
The plugin contains no executable hooks, installation scripts, or local shell commands. It does not read environment variables, API keys, project files, or other local credentials. The hosted service may return Fudge-owned links and visual previews from design.withfudge.com, api.withfudge.com, and pin.fontofweb.com.

How complete this listing is, computed from the registry entry, the endpoint and public sources. Not a rating of the server and not a statement that it is safe or working today: reachability is a dated check, and no installs or reviews go into the score.
