Domain intel for AI agents: RDAP registration, DNS, email deliverability, tech stack.

Overview

AI-generated overview

Remote MCP server that lets an assistant look up domain registration, DNS, email deliverability, tech stack and subdomains from free public data.

What you can do
  • Look up domain registration details: registrar, creation and expiry dates, domain age, EPP status, nameservers, DNSSEC and abuse contact
  • Query DNS records (A, AAAA, MX, NS, TXT, CNAME, SOA) via DNS-over-HTTPS
  • Check email deliverability: MX presence, SPF/DMARC posture, free or disposable provider, and a verdict
  • Detect a site's tech stack: web server, CMS or framework, CDN, analytics, security headers and page title
  • Discover subdomains from Certificate Transparency logs
  • Return a combined dossier of registration, DNS, email and tech stack in one call
When to use it
Useful when an assistant needs to vet a company or lead from a domain or email address, check whether a domain is established, assess email spoofing protection, or profile a competitor's public web stack.
Requirements
A remote MCP endpoint over streamable HTTP; no API keys, signup or environment variables are needed for the free tier. A paid licence key is passed as an Authorization Bearer header to lift free-tier caps. Network access to the hosted endpoint is required.
Before you install
Free tier is limited to 100 calls a day and result lists are capped at 10 items; Pro is $15/month with a shared allowance across the provider's servers. Lookups send the queried domain or email to the hosted service and its upstream sources (RDAP, Cloudflare DoH, crt.sh, live fetch). A licence key is validated against Polar on each request. The self-hosted worker.js is a snapshot and may lag the hosted endpoint.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open Domain & Company Intel MCP in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.

Use with an agent

Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.

Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/io.github.selflabbs%2Fdomain-intel-mcp/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.

Read the install guide the agent follows

README

Domain & Company Intel MCP — by Datakoot

Domain and company intelligence for AI agents. Give an agent a domain or email address and it can vet the company, qualify the lead, or map the target — all from free public data, no API keys.

Quick start (hosted)

Claude Code

bash
claude mcp add --transport http domain-intel https://domain.datakoot.com/mcp

Claude Desktop / other clients

json
{  "mcpServers": {    "domain-intel": {      "command": "npx",      "args": ["mcp-remote", "https://domain.datakoot.com/mcp"]    }  }}

Try it in 10 seconds — no key, no signup

Paste this into a terminal:

bash
curl -s https://domain.datakoot.com/mcp \ -H 'content-type: application/json' \ -H 'accept: application/json, text/event-stream' \ -d '{"jsonrpc": "2.0", "id": 1, "method": "tools/call", "params": {"name": "tech_stack", "arguments": {"domain": "stripe.com"}}}'

You get the detected technology stack behind stripe.com — no API key, nothing to sign up for.

Or point any MCP client at the URL and just ask your agent, in plain language:

  • "What tech stack does stripe.com run on?"
  • "Is this domain's email configured to prevent spoofing?"

Example agent workflows

  • "Is acme.com a real, established business? When was it registered?" → domain_intel
  • "This lead’s email is @acme.io — can it receive mail, is it a throwaway?" → email_deliverability
  • "What’s competitor.com built on?" → tech_stack
  • "Map the public subdomains of target.com" → subdomains

Pricing

Free — 100 calls a day, keyless, no signup. Pro — $15/mo including 50,000 calls a month with no daily limit; one key unlocks all nine Datakoot servers. Go over the monthly allowance and you drop to free-tier speed for the rest of the month, or top up — never cut off, no metered overage. Full terms: datakoot.com/pricing.

Result lists are capped at 10 items per call on Free and uncapped on Pro.

All six tools work on the free tier with no key. A paid allowance is shared across all nine Datakoot servers rather than being nine separate buckets, and only a tools/call counts — connecting and listing tools are free. Full terms at datakoot.com/pricing.

Subscribe → — one subscription unlocks Pro on every Datakoot server.

Using your Pro key

After subscribing you receive a licence key. Pass it as a Bearer token and the free-tier caps are removed:

bash
claude mcp add --transport http --header "Authorization: Bearer YOUR-KEY" domain-intel https://domain.datakoot.com/mcp

The key is validated against Polar on each request (cached briefly). Cancel anytime — access reverts to the free tier automatically.

Self-host (Cloudflare Workers, free tier)

The worker.js in this repository is a snapshot of the hosted server, not a live mirror of it — the hosted endpoint is deployed independently and may be ahead. Create a Worker, paste worker.js, deploy.

License

MIT. Data from RDAP, Cloudflare DNS, and crt.sh under their respective terms.

Score

50% of the applicable checks met

How complete this listing is, computed from the registry entry, the endpoint and public sources. Not a rating of the server and not a statement that it is safe or working today: reachability is a dated check, and no installs or reviews go into the score.

  • Reached in the last 30 daysRequired25 pts

Keep the endpoint answering the MCP handshake; SourceWeft probes it every 30 days.

  • Auth declaredRequired10 pts

Declare the credential headers in the registry entry, or keep the endpoint answering the probe so its auth can be classified.
