Overview

AI-generated overview

Unofficial read-only MCP server for Iranian mutual fund and ETF data from Fipiran, plus Tehran market indices and stock quotes.

What you can do
  • Search and rank about 500 Iranian mutual funds and ETFs by type, manager, size and return, and list fund types with average returns
  • Show one fund in full and pull daily NAV, rolling returns, size, flows, investor mix or dividends history
  • Compare 2 to 8 funds side by side and rank fund management companies by assets under management
  • Browse Tehran and Farabourse market overview, 65 indices with history, last-day stock quotes and industry rankings
When to use it
Useful when someone asks which Iranian funds returned the most, the biggest gold or fixed-income funds, a fund's NAV or price history, how a fund compares with its type average, or who manages it.
Requirements
Runs locally over stdio via uvx, so uv with Python 3.10+ is needed. No account or API key. Network access to fipiran.ir is required, and the site only answers Iranian internet lines; outside Iran an HTTP proxy must be supplied through FIPIRAN_MCP_PROXY, since system proxy settings are ignored.
Before you install
Unofficial and not affiliated with Fipiran; it reads the same public JSON the site's fund pages load. Read-only, with no login-only features such as ranking reports, watchlists or exports. Data is not investment advice, and past returns do not predict future returns. Outside Iran, requests must be routed through a proxy set in FIPIRAN_MCP_PROXY.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open Fipiran Funds in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Desktop only via STDIO. STDIO servers start a local process, so they need the SourceWeft desktop host.

Other MCP clients

FAQ

Is it official? No. It reads the same public JSON the fipiran.ir fund pages load; it is not affiliated with Fipiran.
Is this investment advice? No. It is data. Past returns do not predict future returns; very young funds show distorted annual returns.
Why does it fail outside Iran? The site does not answer foreign IPs. Use FIPIRAN_MCP_PROXY.
