Overview

AI-generated overview

Read-only access to moatshark's data on value investors' holdings: 13F filings, overseas stakes, insider buying and filing forecasts.

What you can do
  • Search managers and companies by name, person or ticker, and fetch full records by id
  • Look up one value investor's latest 13F holdings, weights and quarter-over-quarter changes, plus overseas and non-US fund stakes
  • See which value investors hold a company, how their positions changed, and directors' Form 4 purchases and sales
  • Review the newest 13F filings with each manager's biggest buys and sales, or a full quarter roundup back to 2013 Q1
  • Track 13F filing deadlines, who has filed, who is expected each day, and which managers are late
  • List open-market insider purchases reported on Form 4 in the last 90 days
When to use it
Useful when you want an assistant to answer questions about well-known value investors' portfolios, 13F and Form 4 activity, or overseas holdings that a 13F does not show, without building your own filing pipeline.
Requirements
A remote streamable HTTP endpoint at moatshark.com; no package, account, API key or environment variable is declared. Network access to the endpoint is required.
Before you install
The server states that values marked as estimates are moatshark's own and that the data is factual and historical, not investment advice; treat figures accordingly. All listed tools appear to be read-only lookups.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open moatshark in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.

Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.

Use with an agent

Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.

Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/io.github.sharkey1982%2Fmoatshark/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.

Read the install guide the agent follows
