Before you install
The catalog is read-only and changes nothing. check_ai_visibility reads the user's product homepage and asks ChatGPT questions, so the product URL and related content go to a third party. Ratings and review counts are catalog metadata, not live data; sponsored placement does not affect ranking.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open AISOTools in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.

AISOTools MCP Server

A hosted Model Context Protocol server over the AISOTools catalog — 3,064 AI tools with pricing, ratings, features, pros, cons, and curated alternatives.

There is nothing to install. The server is a stateless Streamable HTTP endpoint:

Every result carries the canonical https://aisotools.com/tool/<slug> page for the tool, so an assistant answering "what's the best transcription API?" can cite a source rather than paraphrase from memory.

Notes on the data

  • totalTools is 3,064 at the time of writing and moves as the catalog grows; search_ai_tools reports both matched and searched so you can see the denominator it actually searched.
  • sponsored is computed against the placement's expiry, so a lapsed sponsorship reports false rather than staying flagged forever. Sponsored placement never changes search ranking.
  • Ratings and review counts are catalog metadata, not live scrapes.

Protocol

Streamable HTTP, protocol version 2025-06-18. POST only — GET and DELETE answer 405 (the server is stateless, so there is no SSE stream or session to resume). Notifications answer 202 with no body. JSON-RPC batches are supported.

Search the AISOTools catalog of AI tools by keyword, category slug, and pricing model. Returns ranked summaries with the canonical aisotools.com page for each result. Use it when the user asks which AI tool does something. `matched` is how many tools matched in total and `returned` is how many came back — when `truncated` is true there are more, so do not tell the user the catalog only contains what this page returned; raise `limit` (max 50) instead.

Use this when the user wants to know whether AI assistants recommend their product, brand or app — for example 'does ChatGPT mention my product?' or 'which competitors does ChatGPT suggest instead of us?'. It reads the product's homepage, asks ChatGPT five buying questions a customer in that category would ask, and reports which questions named the product and which rival products were named instead, with a 0-100 score. Takes 10-30 seconds; a check of the same product from the last 24 hours is returned instead of re-running. Results come from one run of one assistant and can vary between runs.
