Overview

AI-generated overview

A remote MCP server that renders an MP4 video from your own images, clips, voice-over and timed captions, driven by a JSON render plan.

What you can do
Check a render plan for validity before anything runs, then start one render after you confirm it, using your own images, clips, voice-over and timed captions. Read job status, get a shareable download link when a render finishes, and list recent renders. Check your plan and render allowance for the account.
When to use it
Useful when you want an assistant to turn supplied media and a caption/voice-over plan into a finished MP4, for example faceless channels, product clips or batches of short-form vertical videos.
Requirements
A remote Streamable HTTP endpoint; nothing to install locally. Sign-in with a samautomation.work account via OAuth with PKCE and dynamic client registration, added as a custom connector or HTTP MCP server in your client.
Before you install
Renders consume your plan's render allowance, so check the account tool before starting jobs. It renders only media you supply and does not generate paid AI footage or buy credits. Your media and render plans are sent to the publisher's hosted service; review its privacy policy and terms.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open Samautomation Video in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Connect the required credentials. They are stored privately and never shown on public pages.
  3. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.

Use with an agent

Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.

Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/io.github.smrht%2Fsamautomation-video/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.

Read the install guide the agent follows

Other MCP clients

Add this to your client's mcpServers config. The client completes OAuth sign-in on first connect.

Samautomation Video MCP server

Render an MP4 from your own images, clips, voice-over and timed captions. JSON to video.

Remote MCP server: https://samautomation.work/mcp (Streamable HTTP) · Website: samautomation.work

What it does

Samautomation Video renders a finished MP4 from media you supply: images, video clips, a voice-over and timed captions. The assistant validates the render plan first, creates one render after you confirm, and reads the job status and a shareable download link when it is done. It suits faceless channels, product clips and short-form batches.

It renders your own media. It does not generate paid AI footage or buy credits.

Connect

  • Server URL: https://samautomation.work/mcp
  • Transport: Streamable HTTP
  • Authentication: OAuth with PKCE (S256), dynamic client registration and client ID metadata documents, so MCP clients connect without manual setup. Sign in with your samautomation.work account.

Claude (claude.ai, Desktop): Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector → paste the server URL.

Claude Code:

bash
claude mcp add --transport http samautomation-video https://samautomation.work/mcp

Cursor, VS Code, Cline, Windsurf and other clients (mcp.json / cline_mcp_settings.json):

json
{  "mcpServers": {    "samautomation-video": {      "type": "http",      "url": "https://samautomation.work/mcp"    }  }}

Cline uses "type": "streamableHttp"; see llms-install.md.
