Manage SocialBu posts, accounts, queues, analytics, automations, media, and listening.
Overview
Lets an assistant manage SocialBu social media accounts, posts, queues, analytics, automations, media, and listening data.
- What it does
- The official SocialBu remote MCP server exposes tools for inspecting connected accounts and teams, creating drafts, scheduling, updating, and publishing posts, and working with custom publishing queues and media uploads. It also reads account and post analytics, inspects and toggles automations, browses curated content, manages saved Listen items, and runs SocialBu AI content tools. Available operations depend on the user's plan, permissions, teams, and connected networks.
- When to use it
- Use it when an assistant should operate a SocialBu social media workspace: drafting and scheduling posts, checking analytics, managing queues and media, or reviewing automations and listening items. It fits clients that support Streamable HTTP and OAuth.
- Requirements
- A remote MCP endpoint at reached over Streamable HTTP with OAuth; the client opens SocialBu in a browser for sign-in and approval. No local runtime, API keys, or environment variables are needed. Optional agent skill installs use npx or client-specific plugin commands.
Installation
In SourceWeft
- Open SocialBu in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
- Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.
Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.
Other MCP clients
Add this to your client's mcpServers config.

SocialBu for AI agents
The official SocialBu plugin and remote MCP integration. It lets supported AI clients work with the SocialBu accounts, posts, queues, analytics, automations, curated content, media, and social listening data that you authorize.
The hosted MCP server is the source of truth. This repository contains portable agent instructions and client manifests, with no proxy server, duplicated business logic, API keys, or local runtime.
Connect
Use this remote MCP server in any client that supports Streamable HTTP and OAuth:
Your client opens SocialBu in a browser. Sign in and approve the connection there. Do not paste a SocialBu password or API token into a prompt.
Install
Agent skill
Install the reusable SocialBu skill in clients supported by the Agent Skills installer:
The skill improves tool selection and safety. Connect the MCP URL as well if the client does not install bundled MCP servers from mcp.json.
Gemini CLI
Restart Gemini CLI after installation, then authorize SocialBu when prompted.
Claude Code
GitHub Copilot CLI
Qwen Code
Other clients
See client setup instructions for ChatGPT, Codex, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Windsurf, Cline, Zed, OpenCode, Grok Build, Qwen Code, and direct MCP configuration.

https://socialbu.com/mcpand are separate from REST API credentials. - No credentials belong in this repository, prompts, logs, issues, or screenshots.
Repository contents
Maintainers can use the release and directory checklist for versioning, validation, and submission requirements.
Existing SocialBu CLI
The separate SocialBu CLI remains available for terminal scripts and environments that do not support MCP. This plugin does not bundle or duplicate it.
