Before you install
Requires an API key that grants access to the account's site data; keep it out of shared configs. Submitting URLs changes what search engines crawl and index, so batch submissions should be reviewed. The server sends anonymous usage telemetry unless DO_NOT_TRACK or MCP_TELEMETRY_OPT_OUT is set.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open Bing Webmaster & IndexNow MCP in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Desktop only via STDIO. STDIO servers start a local process, so they need the SourceWeft desktop host.

Bing Webmaster Tools & IndexNow MCP Server

How to Get Credentials

Bing Webmaster Tools API Key

  1. Sign in to Bing Webmaster Tools.
  2. Click the Settings gear icon in the top right corner.
  3. Select API Access > API Key.
  4. Click Generate API Key (or copy existing key).

IndexNow Key

  1. Generate an 8-128 character hex key or UUID.
  2. Host a text file named <your-key>.txt containing only the key at your website root (e.g., https://example.com/<your-key>.txt).
  3. Set INDEXNOW_KEY="<your-key>".
