Compare PDF, DOCX, and TXT documents from any AI agent: diff, change summary, and PDF export.

Overview

AI-generated overview

Lets an assistant compare PDF, DOCX, and TXT documents, summarize the changes, and export a PDF diff report.

What you can do
Differino MCP exposes document comparison to an AI assistant: it diffs PDF, DOCX, and TXT files, produces a change summary, and can export the result as a PDF. It runs locally over stdio and calls the Differino service using an API key. The manifest does not list individual tool names.
When to use it
Useful when an assistant needs to compare two versions of a contract, report, or other document and explain what changed, or to hand back a PDF diff. Less relevant if you only work with plain text or code diffs that existing tools already cover.
Requirements
Runs as a local process via npx (Node.js required) on desktop only; no web executable. Requires a Differino API key supplied through the DIFFERINO_API_KEY environment variable, generated in the Differino account settings. Network access to the Differino service is implied.
Before you install
The DIFFERINO_API_KEY secret is required and is sent to the Differino service; treat it as a credential and keep it out of shared configs. Documents you compare are uploaded to that third-party service, so avoid confidential or regulated files unless that is acceptable. The manifest declares no authentication beyond the API key.

Score

25% of the applicable checks met

How complete this listing is, computed from the registry entry, the endpoint and public sources. Not a rating of the server and not a statement that it is safe or working today: reachability is a dated check, and no installs or reviews go into the score.

  • Reached in the last 30 days25 pts

Keep the endpoint answering the MCP handshake; SourceWeft probes it every 30 days.

  • Auth declared10 pts

Declare the credential headers in the registry entry, or keep the endpoint answering the probe so its auth can be classified.

  • Tools listed15 pts

Answer tools/list without a credential, or ship a package that starts in a sandbox without one.
