Algeria

Lets an assistant look up Algeria's wilayas and communes, resolve GPS points to a commune, and validate Algerian formats such as phone numbers and RIP keys.

What it does

The server exposes read-only tools over Algeria's administrative data: search_communes finds communes by name in French or Arabic, including old names, transliterations and typos; get_wilaya returns a wilaya by code or name with its communes; get_commune returns a commune by ONS code under the 69, 58 and 48 wilaya maps; wilaya_changes lists communes moved by the 2026 or 2019 reform; locate_point gives the commune and wilaya of a GPS point; and validate checks phone numbers, RIB, RIP, CCP, plates, postal codes, NIN, NIF, NIS, RC, wilaya and commune values.

When to use it

Useful when an assistant needs to answer questions about Algerian administrative geography, such as which wilaya a place belongs to, which communes changed wilaya in a reform, which commune contains a coordinate, or whether an Algerian identifier is well formed.

Requirements

Runs locally over stdio and needs Node.js 18 or later; it is installed as the npm package @syscli/algeria-mcp, for example via npx. No accounts, API keys, environment variables or headers are declared, and it makes no network calls because the data ships with the package.
