Overview

AI-generated overview

Content Drifter MCP lets an AI assistant generate, schedule and publish on-brand social posts to nine networks from a Content Drifter account.

What you can do
  • Generate platform-native post text and image prompts for a chosen network
  • Schedule posts for a specific date and time and list upcoming calendar items
  • Read the Brand Kit for voice, colors and fonts
  • Check connected platforms and their health
  • Publish a post immediately after a final review and user confirmation
When to use it
Useful when you plan and publish social content regularly and want an assistant to draft, queue and post it across LinkedIn, X, Instagram, Facebook, Threads, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest and Bluesky without switching tools.
Requirements
A Content Drifter account (a free tier works for testing) and an API key from the dashboard, supplied as the CONTENTDRIFTER_API_KEY environment variable. The README documents an npx install with that key, while the manifest lists a remote endpoint with OAuth; the optional CONTENTDRIFTER_API_BASE variable overrides the API base URL.
Before you install
The API key is a bearer token shown only once at creation; keep it out of git and chat logs and revoke unused keys. Publishing sends content to public social networks and cannot be undone, so confirm before publish_now runs. Instagram, Pinterest and TikTok require an image URL passed to schedule_post.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open Content Drifter in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Connect the required credentials. They are stored privately and never shown on public pages.
  3. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.

Use with an agent

Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.

Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/io.github.tayyabakhtar62%2Fcontentdrifter/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.

Read the install guide the agent follows

Other MCP clients

Add this to your client's mcpServers config. The client completes OAuth sign-in on first connect.
