Overview

AI-generated overview

Extracts structured ingredients and equipment from recipe transcripts or YouTube URLs and turns them into ranked affiliate shopping lists.

What you can do
  • Extract structured recipe data (ingredients, equipment, techniques, cuisine, difficulty) from a cooking video transcript or YouTube URL
  • Match ingredients and equipment to purchasable products with affiliate program details, price ranges, commission rates and substitutions
  • Generate a ranked affiliate shopping list scored by estimated revenue potential
  • Return metadata such as processing time, estimated AI cost and cache status alongside results
When to use it
Useful for recipe publishers, food bloggers or affiliate marketers who want to turn cooking videos or recipes into shoppable ingredient and equipment lists with commission estimates.
Requirements
Runs locally as an npm package over stdio (npx recipe-commerce-mcp), or can be reached through the provider's hosted endpoint. Requires an OpenAI API key (OPENAI_API_KEY) for product extraction. Optional settings include MCP_API_KEYS for paid usage, AGENT_ID, CACHE_DIR and PAYMENT_ENABLED. Network access is needed for OpenAI and affiliate lookups.
Before you install
Sends recipe content to OpenAI for extraction, so transcripts leave your machine. The free tier is limited to 200 calls per day; paid usage is billed per call and requires keys in MCP_API_KEYS. Affiliate commission figures are estimates, and any affiliate links or lists you publish are your responsibility.
