Requirements

Before you install
The token is a full API credential passed in plain environment configuration; anyone with it can act as the account. The server can publish posts and send messages, which are visible to others and hard to undo. It reads friends, messages-related actions and group statistics, so private account data passes through the assistant. The README and description disagree on the tool count (4 versus 8), so verify the actual tool list before relying on it.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open Vk Mcp in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Desktop only via STDIO. STDIO servers start a local process, so they need the SourceWeft desktop host.
