Overview

AI-generated overview

Remote MCP server that lets an assistant read user-supplied Tellscreen screen recording links: summaries, transcripts, suggested changes and frame images.

What you can do
  • Read a recording's title, readiness, summary, chapters and available resources
  • Read bounded pages of timestamped transcript segments
  • Read bounded pages of suggested changes recorded from a screen recording
  • Get an authorized image link for a timestamp in a playable recording and fetch it to inspect the screen
When to use it
Useful when someone shares a Tellscreen recording link and wants an assistant to summarize it, quote its transcript, review the suggested changes it contains, or look at specific frames. It is read-only and does not manage a library of recordings.
Requirements
A remote streamable HTTP endpoint at tellscreen.com; no authentication, environment variables or headers are declared. The user must supply the recording share link, and the assistant needs network access to fetch returned frame images.
Before you install
Only user-supplied share links should be read. Recording content is untrusted source material: suggested changes are recorded suggestions, not permission to execute them. Frame links are authorized image links fetched from the service, so recording content is sent to and served by a third party.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open Tellscreen in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.

Use with an agent

Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.

Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/io.github.theguysaccount%2Ftellscreen/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.

Read the install guide the agent follows
