Freelance hourly-rate calculator with break-even and what-if scenarios.
The publisher's own server: Calculator Tools MCP
Overview
A local MCP server that calculates the minimum freelance hourly rate needed to reach a target after-tax income, plus break-even and what-if comparisons.
- What you can do
- Calculate the minimum hourly rate from target income, business expenses, billable hours, working weeks and tax rate on profit. Compute a break-even rate that covers expenses only. Compare 2 to 12 scenarios side by side, ordered highest rate first.
- When to use it
- Useful when a freelancer or consultant wants to set or sanity-check hourly pricing against a desired annual after-tax income, or compare several pricing scenarios before quoting.
- Requirements
- Runs as a local process on the user's machine, started with Node.js (node servers/hourly-rate/src/index.js), or installed from a one-click bundle. No accounts, API keys, environment variables or network access are needed.
Installation
In SourceWeft
- Open Freelance Rate Calculator in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
- Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.
Desktop only via STDIO. STDIO servers start a local process, so they need the SourceWeft desktop host.

How complete this listing is, computed from the registry entry, the endpoint and public sources. Not a rating of the server and not a statement that it is safe or working today: reachability is a dated check, and no installs or reviews go into the score.

Declare the credential headers in the registry entry, or keep the endpoint answering the probe so its auth can be classified.
