Overview

AI-generated overview

Stamps page numbers, Bates numbers or a text watermark onto an attached PDF and returns a new PDF, all inside the chat.

What you can do
  • Add page numbers with a custom format, position, start number and optional skipped cover page
  • Apply Bates numbering with a prefix, padding, suffix and a CSV log for legal productions
  • Stamp a text watermark such as DRAFT or CONFIDENTIAL with adjustable opacity, angle and page ranges
  • Handle rotated and cropped pages, placing text upright in the visible area
  • Verify each output by re-reading the stamped pages with a second PDF reader
When to use it
Useful when you need a PDF numbered, Bates-stamped for a legal production, or marked as a draft or confidential copy without leaving the conversation or opening a desktop PDF editor.
Requirements
A remote endpoint at page-numbers.zovo.one over streamable HTTP; no authentication, environment variables or headers are declared. You need an attached PDF to process and a way to download the returned file within the retention window.
Before you install
The server receives your PDF content, so avoid sending documents you cannot share with a third party. Outputs are kept for only 1 hour before deletion, so download them promptly. Bates numbering also produces a CSV log of the numbering.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open Zovo Page Numbers in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.

Use with an agent

Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.

Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/io.github.theluckystrike%2Fpage-numbers/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.

Read the install guide the agent follows

stamp_page_numbers

Number PDF pages

Use this when the user wants to add page numbers to a PDF, number the pages of a PDF, put "Page 1 of 10" in a footer or header, or skip numbering the cover page. Takes one attached PDF, a format with {n} (this page's number) and optional {total} (the last number), one of six positions, start number, pages to skip at the start, font size and margin, and returns a new PDF. Each stamp is checked again in the new file before the link is given. Does not open password-protected PDFs, does not draw non-Latin scripts or emoji, and does not change the page content under the number. Do not use for Bates numbers (use stamp_bates_numbers).

Each stamp is checked again in the new file before the link is given. Does not open password-protected PDFs, does not number across several files in one call (pass the next start number yourself), and does not draw non-Latin scripts.
