Overview

AI-generated overview

Builds printable monthly tide calendars for US NOAA stations, with high and low times, heights, sunrise and sunset, exported as PDF, CSV or ICS.

What you can do
  • Find NOAA tide prediction stations by US city or town, station name or station id, with nearest matches and distance in miles
  • Generate a tide table or calendar for a station over a month or up to 31 days, with high and low times and heights in MLLW (ft or m, local time), sunrise and sunset, and an optional low-tide filter
  • Export the result as a printable PDF calendar (Letter or A4), a CSV file or an ICS calendar file
When to use it
Useful when someone asks for tide times or a tide table for a US coastal place, or wants a printable or calendar-importable tide schedule for a trip, fishing, boating or shore planning.
Requirements
A remote MCP endpoint; no package, account, API key or environment variable is declared. Network access to the endpoint is needed.
Before you install
Coverage is limited to US NOAA tide prediction stations and US places of roughly 15,000 people or more. Predictions are reference data, not safety advice for navigation or coastal activity.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open Zovo Tide Tables in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.

Use with an agent

Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.

Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/io.github.theluckystrike%2Ftide-tables/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.

Read the install guide the agent follows

find_tide_stations

Find tide stations

Use this when the user names a US coastal place and needs the NOAA tide prediction station to use for a tide table. Takes a city or town (US places of about 15,000 people or more), a station name, or a NOAA station id, and returns the nearest stations with distance in miles. Does not return tide times; use generate_tide_calendar for those. Does not cover places outside the NOAA CO-OPS station list.

generate_tide_calendar

Generate tide calendar

Use this when the user wants a tide table, tide calendar or tide times for a NOAA station for a month or up to 31 days: high and low times and heights (MLLW, ft or m, local time), sunrise and sunset, an optional low-tide filter, a printable PDF calendar (Letter and A4), CSV and ICS calendar files. Data is NOAA CO-OPS predictions (fetched from NOAA, cached up to 24 hours), not observations. Needs a NOAA station id (get one from find_tide_stations). Does not give currents, surf, weather or observed water levels.
