Overview

AI-generated overview

A remote time card calculator that lets an assistant total clock-in and clock-out punches into hours worked for a day, week or pay period.

What you can do
  • Calculate hours worked from clock-in and clock-out punches
  • Total a single day, a week or a biweekly period
  • Handle lunch breaks, multiple punches per day and overnight shifts
  • Accept 12-hour or 24-hour (military) time input
  • Apply punch rounding to the nearest 5, 6 or 15 minutes
When to use it
Useful when someone needs hours worked added up from raw punch times, such as checking a timesheet, verifying weekly or biweekly totals, or accounting for breaks and overnight shifts.
Requirements
A remote MCP endpoint; no package, account, API key or environment variable is declared.
Before you install
The calculator only totals the times it is given, so results depend on accurate punch data; verify totals before using them for payroll or billing.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open ShiftSum Time Card in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.

Use with an agent

Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.

Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/io.github.theluckystrike%2Ftime-card/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.

Read the install guide the agent follows

Calculate hours worked

Use this when the user wants a time card calculator or hours worked calculator: totaling clock-in/clock-out times for a day, week, or biweekly period, with lunch breaks, multiple in and out punches per day, overnight shifts, 12-hour or 24-hour (military) time, punch rounding (nearest 5/6/15 minutes or the 7-minute rule), overtime and double time per workweek (US federal 40 h, California daily rules, or custom), and gross pay from an hourly rate. Pass times as the user wrote them; times without am/pm ("9 to 5") are resolved and the reading is returned in assumptions for the user to confirm. Returns per-day hours in H:MM and decimal, regular/overtime/double-time split, totals, exact gross pay, warnings (overlapping punches, missing clock-out, shifts over 16 h), and CSV and printable PDF timesheet links. Does not compute taxes or take-home pay, give legal advice about breaks or overtime, track time live, or set reminders. Do not use for simple unit conversions without clock times.
