Overview

AI-generated overview

Remote MCP server that lets an assistant search live job listings from employer career pages on theyond.com and open a single job's details.

What you can do
  • Search live jobs by keyword, location, company, remote flag, seniority or just-added status, up to 10 results per query
  • See what is hiring now, with companies and recently added jobs when no keyword is given
  • Open one job by its theyond URL or slug to read a plain-text description and job card
  • Show theyond.com job and hub URLs so the user can apply on the employer's site
When to use it
Useful when someone wants to look up current openings, filter them by place, company, remote work or seniority, or check what was just posted. It is aimed at job research in a chat, not bulk collection of listings.
Requirements
A client that supports streamable HTTP, pointed at the theyond.com MCP endpoint. No signup, account or API key is needed. Requests are rate limited to 30 per minute and 400 per day per IP address.
Before you install
Read-only: it never returns an employer apply link, so the user applies through the theyond.com job page. Search results are capped at 10 with no pagination, and the service is meant for job research rather than bulk export. Queries and IP address go to theyond.com.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open Theyond in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.

Use with an agent

Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.

Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/io.github.theyond%2Fjobs/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.

Read the install guide the agent follows

README

Theyond MCP

Live jobs from employer career pages, as a remote MCP server.

The connector is https://theyond.com/mcp. Free. No signup. No auth. This repo is the registry record, not the board. The board is theyond.com.

Add that URL to Claude, Gemini, Grok, ChatGPT, Cursor, or any client that speaks streamable HTTP. POST is the JSON-RPC server. A browser GET is the human page. JSON GET is 405 on purpose.

Hit Apply on the theyond.com job page. That sends you to the employer. The tools never return an employer apply link. Always show the theyond URL.

What you can ask

  • “What's hiring right now?”
  • “Find data scientist jobs in Toronto”
  • “Staff software engineer roles in San Francisco”
  • “Remote machine learning jobs”
  • “Open the theyond page so I can hit Apply”

Search or hiring_now first. Then get_job for the one they picked.

Tools

search_jobs

Up to 10 live jobs. No pagination. Need at least one of:

ArgumentWhat it does
qKeywords in the title, company, or description. Not a theyond.com/jobs URL.
locationCity, region, or country.
companyEmployer name. Case-insensitive. nvidia matches NVIDIA.
remotetrue keeps jobs that say remote, or whose text was labeled remote.
seniorityintern, entry, mid, senior, staff_lead, or director.
newtrue searches the same just-added set as hiring_now. Still max 10. Not posted_at.

Each row has title, company, location, slug, theyond url, posted_at, theyond_verified_at, remote, salary, and seniority when we have them.

posted_at is when the employer listed it. theyond_verified_at is when Theyond last saw it on the employer’s board. If it is in the result, it is live.

salary is the wage from the employer feed, or the amount taken from the job text when the feed had none.

hiring_now

No arguments. Use this when there is no keyword.

Same companies as the homepage Hiring now chips, plus every just-added job behind those chips. Not the 25-job homepage sample. Not posted_at. Company pages and theyond job URLs. Empty when nothing was just added.

get_job

One live job. Pass the url from a search row, or the slug. Plain-text description, plus the same card. A gone listing comes back as not live. Do not use this to search. Do not pass an employer career URL.

Limits

30 requests a minute and 400 a day, per IP. Job research, not a bulk export.

Machine docs: theyond.com/api/docs and theyond.com/llms.txt. Other use: [email protected].

search_jobs

Find live jobs when the user has a keyword, place, company, remote, and/or seniority, not a theyond job URL (use get_job for that). Need q, location, company, remote=true, seniority, or new=true. new=true searches just-added jobs on homepage Hiring now (same set as hiring_now), still max 10. Not posted_at. Returns at most 10 theyond.com pages, no pagination, no employer apply URLs. Cite title_hub_url, location_hub_url, or location_title_hub_url when the card includes them. Do not invent a hub slug. theyond_verified_at is when theyond last saw the listing on the employer board, not the posted date. salary is the employer feed wage, or the amount harvested from the JD when the feed had none. People apply from the theyond page.

hiring_now

What's new on theyond.com with no keyword. Hiring now companies, plus up to 10 just-added jobs. job_count is how many were just added. Empty when nothing was just added.

Takes no parameters.

get_job

Use after search_jobs or hiring_now when the user picked one job. Pass that job's url from search_jobs or hiring_now (or its slug). Do not use this to search. Plain-text description, cut at 2000 characters when description_truncated is true. Cite hub URLs on the card. No employer apply URL.
