TidyTools: lead enrichment, RAG Markdown, transcripts, AI crawler checks
io.github.tidytoolsv1.0.0Updated Oct 1, 2026
Enrich Google Maps leads, crawl docs to RAG Markdown, transcribe podcasts, check AI crawler access.
Overview
Lets an assistant run five pay-per-use Apify web data tools: lead contact extraction, docs-to-Markdown crawling, document conversion, transcription, and AI…
- What it does
- Connects an MCP client to Apify's hosted MCP server restricted to five TidyTools Actors: Website Contact Extractor (emails and social handles from sites), Website to Markdown Crawler (pages as Markdown for context), PDF/Word/Excel to Markdown, Audio & Video Transcriber, and AI Crawler Access Checker. It also exposes Apify's standard helpers such as get-actor-run, get-dataset-items, get-key-value-store-record and abort-actor-run so the agent can fetch results of longer runs.
- When to use it
- Use it when an assistant needs web-derived data without building scrapers: enriching lead lists, loading documentation into context as Markdown, converting documents, transcribing audio or video, or checking whether a site blocks AI crawlers.
- Requirements
- A remote MCP endpoint at mcp.apify.com; nothing to install. A free Apify account is required, and runs are billed per result. Authentication is either OAuth sign-in or an Authorization header with a Bearer Apify API token.
Installation
In SourceWeft
- Open TidyTools: lead enrichment, RAG Markdown, transcripts, AI crawler checks in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
- Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.
Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.
Other MCP clients
Add this to your client's mcpServers config.

TidyTools for AI agents (remote MCP)
Five pay-per-use web data tools that any MCP client (Claude, Cursor, VS Code, n8n AI Agent, ...) can call through Apify's hosted MCP server. Nothing to install: add one URL.
Tools
Connect
OAuth (recommended): add the URL above as a remote MCP server; your client opens an Apify sign-in the first time.
API token:
You need a free Apify account; runs are billed to it per result (no subscription). Only want one tool? Keep just that one in ?tools=.
Besides the five tools, the server adds Apify's standard helpers (get-actor-run, get-dataset-items, get-key-value-store-record, abort-actor-run) so the agent can fetch results of longer runs.
How it works
The server is Apify's official MCP server (com.apify/apify-mcp-server). The tools parameter limits it to these five Actors, so the agent sees five focused tools instead of thousands. Each Actor's behaviour, limits and output fields are documented on its Apify page.
