LedgerIQ Depreciation Calculator
io.github.tylerscomic-labv2.0.0Updated Oct 2, 2026
MACRS schedules, Section 179 and bonus depreciation with 2026 limits.
Overview
Calculates MACRS, Section 179 and bonus depreciation schedules for business assets and compares deduction methods.
- What it does
- Provides four tools for depreciation planning: calculate_macrs builds a full MACRS schedule for an asset, calculate_section_179 computes first-year expensing, calculate_bonus_depreciation applies the current phase-down percentages, and compare_depreciation_methods lays every available method side by side. It is aimed at comparing deduction timing across options.
- When to use it
- Useful when you need quick depreciation figures or a side-by-side comparison of MACRS, Section 179 and bonus depreciation for a business asset, for example while drafting or reviewing capital spending plans.
- Requirements
- A remote streamable HTTP endpoint; the README says an API key from MCPize is required, and the hosted free tier allows 10 calls a day. It can also be run locally with Node.js (npm install, then node server.js on port 8080).
