Product management, public changelog, and feature requests - 60 lean MCP tools.
Overview
Hosted product-management connector that lets an assistant read a board, open cards, move work, comment and draft release notes.
- What you can do
- Read the product board and open known cards by name or ID. Move work items and change their status on the board. Import a tree of cards in one step. Add comments to cards and draft ship notes for releases. Choose a lean, exec or read-only tool profile per connection.
- When to use it
- Useful when an assistant works alongside a VersionPill workspace and should track product work: checking the board before coding, updating card status, recording comments, or drafting changelog and release notes. The read-only profile suits agents that should only look, not change anything. A lean default profile keeps the tool list small. The exec profile is smaller still for known-card coding. Read-only profile cannot write. Use it when you want the assistant to keep product context in sync. A
- Requirements
- Remote streamable HTTP endpoint at mcp.versionpill.com/mcp; no local package. OAuth is required: the host opens a browser to sign in, pick a workspace and authorize. An API key is an optional fallback for scripts.
Installation
In SourceWeft
- Open Version Pill in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
- Connect the required credentials. They are stored privately and never shown on public pages.
- Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.
Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.
Use with an agent
Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.
Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/io.github.versionpill%2Fmcp/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.Other MCP clients
Add this to your client's mcpServers config. The client completes OAuth sign-in on first connect.

VersionPill MCP
Product memory for coding agents. The terminal builds; VersionPill remembers the product.
This repository is connector metadata for host directories (Claude, Grok, Cursor, ChatGPT, the official MCP registry). The server is hosted. Nothing here is the backend source.

Connect
Paste the URL only. Hosts that speak OAuth open a browser. Sign in, pick a workspace, Authorize once.
Do not use Convex .site / .cloud URLs or /sse. Streamable HTTP on /mcp is the only public endpoint.
API keys (vp_…) are an advanced fallback for scripts. Prefer OAuth.
What the agent can do
Read the board, open a known card, move work, import a tree, comment, draft a ship note. Default profile is board (lean). ?profile=exec is smaller for known-card coding. ?profile=readonly cannot write.
Registry
Published as io.github.versionpill/mcp. On version tag, GitHub Actions runs mcp-publisher.
License
MIT applies to the metadata and docs in this repo only. The hosted server is proprietary.

How complete this listing is, computed from the registry entry, the endpoint and public sources. Not a rating of the server and not a statement that it is safe or working today: reachability is a dated check, and no installs or reviews go into the score.
