Overview

AI-generated overview

Paid weather API server giving assistants current, forecast, market-station and hurricane data, billed per call in USDC via x402.

What you can do
  • Get current weather and a 7-day forecast for any latitude/longitude
  • Retrieve settlement-grade temperature readings at market stations
  • Fetch all weather metrics for a city, or individual rain, wind and snow metrics
  • List active tropical cyclones from NHC data
  • Get a multi-model forecast confidence score
When to use it
Useful when an assistant needs weather data for prediction-market settlement checks (Polymarket, Kalshi) or general current and forecast conditions, and you are willing to pay a small per-call fee in USDC.
Requirements
Runs locally via npx from the npm package vweatherstation-mcp (Node.js). Needs a funded Base wallet with a small USDC balance, supplied through the WALLET_PRIVATE_KEY environment variable. Network access to the provider's API and payment flow.
Before you install
Requires a wallet private key in WALLET_PRIVATE_KEY, which gives the server spending authority over that wallet; use a dedicated wallet holding only small USDC. Every tool call spends money (roughly $0.01 to $0.08 per call) and pays the provider's Base wallet automatically, so costs accumulate without a confirmation step. Location queries are sent to a third-party API.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open Vweatherstation in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Desktop only via STDIO. STDIO servers start a local process, so they need the SourceWeft desktop host.

Other MCP clients

Follow the launch instructions in the repository.
