Overview

AI-generated overview

Local MCP server giving assistants temporary webhooks, URL watches and delayed callbacks, paid per use in USDC over x402.

What you can do
  • Create temporary webhooks that agents can hand out and receive calls on.
  • Set up URL watches that notify the agent when a page changes.
  • Schedule delayed callbacks for later delivery.
  • Run without a wallet on a free tier that returns exact 402 price quotes.
  • Pay per use in USDC on Base when a wallet key file is configured.
When to use it
Useful when an assistant needs a short-lived public endpoint to receive an incoming call, wants to watch a URL for changes, or needs a callback fired after a delay, and you are willing to pay small USDC amounts per use.
Requirements
Runs as a local stdio process from the npm package ephemeral-cloud-mcp, so Node.js is needed. Optional WALLET_KEY_FILE points to a file holding the private key of a dedicated wallet funded with a few dollars of USDC on Base; without it only the free tier and price quotes are available. Network access to the provider's endpoint is implied.
Before you install
The server can spend real money: it signs USDC payments on Base using the private key in the file named by WALLET_KEY_FILE, so use a dedicated low-balance wallet and keep that file protected. Spending is capped by X402_MAX_PAYMENT_USD (default 1.00) and X402_SESSION_BUDGET_USD (default 5.00). Webhook and watch data passes through a third-party hosted service.

How complete this listing is, computed from the registry entry, the endpoint and public sources. Not a rating of the server and not a statement that it is safe or working today: reachability is a dated check, and no installs or reviews go into the score.

  • Reached in the last 30 days25 pts

Keep the endpoint answering the MCP handshake; SourceWeft probes it every 30 days.

  • Auth declared10 pts

Declare the credential headers in the registry entry, or keep the endpoint answering the probe so its auth can be classified.

Answer tools/list without a credential, or ship a package that starts in a sandbox without one.
