Overview

AI-generated overview

Local stdio MCP server that gives an assistant a cached snapshot of AI-related regulatory deadlines (FinCEN, SEC, EU AI Act, GDPR).

What you can do
  • Look up regulatory deadlines for AI-related rules such as FinCEN, SEC, EU AI Act and GDPR.
  • Work from a cached snapshot, optionally fetched from a remote source or kept local.
  • No individual tools are listed in the manifest, so the exact operations are not documented here.
When to use it
Useful when an assistant needs to answer questions about compliance deadlines for AI regulation and you want a packaged lookup rather than ad-hoc web research.
Requirements
Runs as a local process over stdio, installed from the npm package @weiseer/regulatory-deadline-mcp (Node.js/npx). Optional environment variables REG_URL to override the remote snapshot URL and REG_LOCAL_ONLY=1 to skip remote fetch. No authentication is declared.
Before you install
By default it may fetch a snapshot from a remote URL, so deadline data leaves the machine unless REG_LOCAL_ONLY is set; REG_URL can point it at an arbitrary endpoint. Deadline data is cached and may be stale, so verify compliance dates against official sources. No tools are listed, so review what it actually exposes before relying on it.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open regulatory-deadline in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Desktop only via STDIO. STDIO servers start a local process, so they need the SourceWeft desktop host.

Other MCP clients

Follow the launch instructions in the repository.

Why use this instead of your agent doing it itself

The DIY cost in token-spend, latency, and rate-limit risk is 100-1500x our cost. See the weiseer organization README for the economic argument.

Environment

  • REG_URL — override remote snapshot URL
  • REG_LOCAL_ONLY=1 — skip remote fetch

Score

40% of the applicable checks met

How complete this listing is, computed from the registry entry, the endpoint and public sources. Not a rating of the server and not a statement that it is safe or working today: reachability is a dated check, and no installs or reviews go into the score.

  • Reached in the last 30 days25 pts

Keep the endpoint answering the MCP handshake; SourceWeft probes it every 30 days.

  • Auth declared10 pts

Declare the credential headers in the registry entry, or keep the endpoint answering the probe so its auth can be classified.

Answer tools/list without a credential, or ship a package that starts in a sandbox without one.
