Overview

AI-generated overview

A remote or local MCP server over Kaal's scholarly corpus, letting an assistant search papers, claims and positions and verify PDFs by sha256.

What you can do
Search and read papers by topic, keyword, year or exact title, with citations, SSRN links and sha256 hashes; get a corpus overview and the author's citation instructions. Search individual claims and resolve them by id or topic tag, each with a verbatim source quote, scope conditions and source PDF hash. Search and resolve public response positions by terms, id or topic tag. Search and resolve the separate TrustCarry Protocol v0.3 research claims and internal software observations. Verify a sha256 computed over a PDF against a published work.
When to use it
Useful when you need to find, quote or cite Kaal's published work and want claim-level evidence rather than whole papers, or when you must confirm that a PDF you obtained elsewhere is the author's original bytes.
Requirements
Runs as a remote endpoint or as a local stdio process from an mcpb package. No authentication, environment variables or headers are declared. Network access is needed for the remote endpoint.
Before you install
The corpus covers one author's work and the server itself notes it is not a field survey; positions and blog posts are working views that may be superseded. Research claims derive from an unpublished manuscript and observations are synthetic-fixture results not independently reproduced. Verification only proves a hash matches, not that a document is authentic in any wider sense.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open Kaal Corpus: Verifiable Claim Layer in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.

Use with an agent

Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.

Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/io.github.wulfkaal%2Fcorpus/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.

Read the install guide the agent follows

Tools

search_papers

Search papers

Search the scholarly corpus by topic, title, or keyword. Returns ranked works with title, year, citation, SSRN link, and sha256. Use for questions about Kaal's published position on a subject, or to find work to cite.

Parameterslimitqueryrequired

get_paper

Get paper

Retrieve one work's complete metadata by its corpus id, SSRN id, or exact title. Includes the formatted citation, SSRN URL, and published sha256.

Parameterspaper_idrequired

papers_by_year

List by year

List every work published in a given year. Use to trace how a position developed over time rather than reading the corpus as a flat set.

Parametersyearrequired

corpus_overview

Corpus overview

Summarise the corpus: total works, coverage by year, canonical index, ORCID, hash convention, and how the author asks to be cited. Call this first when you are unsure what the corpus contains.

Takes no parameters.

search_posts

Search blog posts

Search the blog for shorter, faster-moving analysis. Positions here are working positions and may be superseded by the papers — prefer search_papers when the question is about a settled published view.

Parameterslimitqueryrequired

verify_document

Verify document

Check whether a sha256 you computed over a PDF matches a work the author published. Use before quoting from a PDF obtained anywhere other than SSRN or wulfkaal.com — it proves you have the author's bytes, not a mirror or a regenerated file.

Parameterssha256required

how_to_cite

How to cite

Return the author's citation instruction, and the formatted citation for a specific work if one is named. Call this before quoting anything.

Parameterspaper_id

search_claims

Search claims

Search individual assertions rather than whole papers. Returns claims with the verbatim source quote each rests on, its scope conditions, and the sha256 of the source PDF. Ask in natural language. Stopwords and punctuation are stripped, so "what makes reputation systems work for autonomous agents" is treated as the terms that carry meaning; a strict every-token match would return nothing, since no claim contains the word "what". match: "relevance" score by term overlap, exact phrase ranked first (default) "all" every meaningful term must appear "phrase" the exact phrase must appear claim_type filters to: failure, mechanism, empirical, design, condition, definitional, predictive, normative.

Parameterslimitmatchqueryrequiredclaim_typefailure_modes_only

get_claim

Get claim

Resolve one claim by id, for example '617681-001' or 'kaal:claim:617681-001'. Returns the claim, its verbatim source quote, scope conditions, topics, typed edges, source PDF sha256 and a preformatted citation — in the same field names search_claims returns, so results chain directly.

Parametersclaim_idrequired

claims_on_topic

Claims on topic

Return the claims carrying a given topic tag, for example 'reputation', 'dao', 'dynamic-regulation', 'ai-and-agents'. Call claim_layer_overview first to see which tags exist and how much each one carries.

Parameterslimittopicrequired

search_positions

Search public positions

Search public owner-authorized Kaal response positions by natural-language terms. Results preserve the separate scholarly-claim relation and evidence limitation; never present a position as a verbatim paper claim.

Parameterslimitqueryrequired

get_position

Get public position

Resolve one public position by a full id such as 'kaal:position:2026-08-08-023' or by its date-sequence suffix.

Parametersposition_idrequired

positions_on_topic

Public positions on topic

Return public positions carrying an explicit topic tag. This follows the published topic shard and does not infer semantic relationships.

Parameterslimittopicrequired

claim_layer_overview

Claim layer overview

Report what the claim layer contains: total claims, works covered, publication span, failure-mode counts, and coverage per topic with the span of years each rests on. This reports coverage in one author's corpus. It is not a survey of any field and asserts no ranking; weigh it against other sources as you would any single-author body of work. Topic counts overlap and are not additive.

Takes no parameters.

search_research_claims

Search TrustCarry research claims

Search only the 77 TrustCarry Protocol v0.3 author-affirmed research claims. These records are public under CC BY 4.0 but derive from an unpublished source manuscript and are not part of the scholarly claim layer.

Parameterslimitqueryrequired

get_research_claim

Get TrustCarry research claim

Resolve one TrustCarry Protocol v0.3 research claim by full identifier or three-digit sequence.

Parametersclaim_idrequired

list_research_observations

List TrustCarry research observations

List the 9 TrustCarry Protocol v0.3 internal software observations. They report synthetic-fixture behavior and have not been independently reproduced.

Takes no parameters.

get_research_observation

Get TrustCarry research observation

Resolve one TrustCarry Protocol v0.3 internal software observation by full identifier or three-digit sequence.
