Overview

AI-generated overview

A local MCP server that gives AI assistants semantic search and a knowledge graph over your Wall notes from Xentropy.

What you can do
Search your Wall notes semantically through an assistant connected over MCP, and explore the knowledge graph built from them. It is aimed at Claude Code and other MCP clients, so notes can be recalled in context rather than browsed by hand. The manifest lists no individual tools, so the exact operations are not documented here.
When to use it
Use it when you keep notes in Xentropy Wall and want an assistant to find and connect them by meaning while you work in Claude Code or another MCP client.
Requirements
Runs as a local npm package (@xentropy/mcp) over stdio, so Node.js is needed. Requires an Xentropy API base URL in XEN_API_URL (defaults to a localhost address and must include the /api prefix) and authentication via XEN_API_TOKEN, obtained with the package's login command; XEN_REFRESH_TOKEN is optional for token rotation. Desktop only.
Before you install
The server handles account credentials: XEN_API_TOKEN and XEN_REFRESH_TOKEN are secrets, and the login command takes your email and password. The default API URL points at localhost, so confirm it targets the instance you intend. Note content is sent to that API endpoint for search and graph queries.

  2. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Desktop only via STDIO. STDIO servers start a local process, so they need the SourceWeft desktop host.

Score

25% of the applicable checks met

How complete this listing is, computed from the registry entry, the endpoint and public sources. Not a rating of the server and not a statement that it is safe or working today: reachability is a dated check, and no installs or reviews go into the score.

  • Reached in the last 30 days25 pts

Keep the endpoint answering the MCP handshake; SourceWeft probes it every 30 days.

  • Auth declared10 pts

Declare the credential headers in the registry entry, or keep the endpoint answering the probe so its auth can be classified.

  • Tools listed15 pts

Answer tools/list without a credential, or ship a package that starts in a sandbox without one.

  • DescriptionRequired15 pts
  • Logo10 pts
  • Documentation15 pts

Declare a GitHub repository with a README, or serve resource_documentation in the OAuth protected-resource metadata.

  • License10 pts

Declare a license in the repository or the registry entry.
