File Relay is a remote MCP server that turns files produced in an agent session into expiring download links so people or other agents can fetch them.
What you can do
Create an upload link for a local file, then run the returned curl command to upload it and get a download link (up to 100 MB). Relay a file attached to a ChatGPT conversation and receive a temporary download link. Look up a relayed file's name, size, type, expiry and download link by id or URL. Read a relayed file's content (up to 1 MB) as text, image or base64. Delete a relayed file before it expires using the delete token.
When to use it
Useful when an assistant generates a file that a person or another agent needs to download, and a temporary link is preferable to pasting contents into chat. Also handy for picking up a file someone else relayed, or for relaying a ChatGPT conversation attachment.
Requirements
A remote endpoint at code.easyllms.com over streamable HTTP; no account, API key or environment variable is declared. Outbound network access to code.easyllms.com is required, and the shell must be able to run curl; sandboxes that block the domain must allow it first.
Before you install
Uploaded files are stored on a third-party service and reachable by anyone holding the link until it expires (24 hours by default, at most 7 days), so avoid relaying sensitive material. The delete_token returned at upload must be kept private; without it a file cannot be deleted early. Uploading and deleting change remote state.
Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.
Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.
Use with an agent
Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.
Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/io.github.yjq001%2Ffile-relay/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.
Relay a file of any size up to 100 MB. Save the file to local disk first, call this with its path, then run the returned curl command in your shell to upload it. The download link works as soon as the upload finishes. Requires outbound network access to code.easyllms.com; if curl is blocked, ask the user to allow that domain in their sandbox network settings (on claude.ai: Settings > Capabilities > Code execution).
ChatGPT only: relay a file from the conversation (the host passes it as a file reference) and get a temporary download link.
