Generate professional PDFs (invoices, contracts, reports) from AI tools via rendoc templates.
Overview
Rendoc MCP server lets an AI assistant generate professional PDFs such as invoices, contracts, reports and certificates from rendoc templates or inline markup.
- What you can do
- Generate PDF documents from a saved template or inline HTML/Handlebars markup, with paper size and orientation options
- List available templates and inspect a template's markup, styles and schema
- Create new reusable templates and delete templates by ID
- Look up details of a generated document, including download URLs and metadata
- Check monthly API usage statistics
- When to use it
- Useful when you want an assistant to turn a prompt or dataset into finished PDF documents — invoices, contracts, certificates, reports or bulk batches — without leaving the chat, and when you want reusable templates with schema validation.
- Requirements
- Runs locally over stdio, typically launched with npx from the npm package @rendoc/mcp-server, so Node.js is needed. Requires a rendoc account and an API key supplied in the RENDOC_API_KEY environment variable; an optional RENDOC_API_URL can point at a self-hosted instance. Network access to the rendoc API is required.
Installation
In SourceWeft
- Open Rendoc Mcp Server in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
- Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.
Desktop only via STDIO. STDIO servers start a local process, so they need the SourceWeft desktop host.
Other MCP clients
Follow the launch instructions in the repository.

How complete this listing is, computed from the registry entry, the endpoint and public sources. Not a rating of the server and not a statement that it is safe or working today: reachability is a dated check, and no installs or reviews go into the score.
